Wrap yourself or a friend in something truly special! This shawl begins at the neckline, building its way out to the edge of the serrated hem with 9 primary feather motifs and 8 inset secondary feather motifs. The example is worked with a variegated yarn, but choose your favorite color(s) for the project. You can even experiment with a larger hook and bulkier yarn for a bigger shawl, or finer yarn and a smaller hook for a youth version--have fun!

If you’re like me and hate binding on and off continuously, burying a mess of tails at the end of the project, then you’ll appreciate how this pattern is formed as one continuous strand.

Please note that this pattern is set up paginated so that when printed both sides and book folded, the two pages stack inside each other with a wide photo spread at the center. If you are planning to read the pattern digitally (not printed), then know that you will need to jump pages to follow your row numbers. If you keep track of your row numbers, you’ll be set to go!

Lots of great photos and detail shots included to help you understand the feather motifs.
Happy crocheting!
