The beanie uses rib 1x1, moss/seed stitch and stockinette. by using these techniques the hat forms a distinctive pill box shape.

The beanie folds flat and can easily be put in a pocket or bag and is a good alternative to an umbrella.

The beanie is knitted using an Aran weight yarn and generally uses around 70g of yarn.

Gauge is 22s x 26 rows = 10cms
