⚔️ Mock cables fit for royalty, no cable needle required

The Royal Antler Bag is a crochet mimic of knit cables, but not tricky! Working split single crochet and back loop single crochet with increases and decreases creates that knit look, with a beautiful fabric and no extra bulk.

Make the optional yarn handle or add a store bought one for a different vibe. It started in my Magical Stitches course and is now available on its own too.

✨ What makes it work

• Knit-look cables. Created with ssc and blo sc, no cable needle in sight.
• No bulk. A smooth, beautiful fabric that isn’t stiff or heavy.
• Simple construction. Continuous rounds for the handle and body, then a base worked in rows and stitched on.
• Handle your way. Crochet the yarn handle or attach store bought hardware.

✂️ What you’ll need

• Yarn: Hue + Me, Lion Brand (bulky, 137 yds/125g), 2 balls (about 225 yds). Colors shown: Salt, Arrowwood or Bellini
• Hook: J (6.0mm), or size to obtain gauge
• Tools: Removable Stitch Markers · Yarn Needle · Scissors
• Handle ideas: Bamboo Handles · Rattan Woven Bag Handles · Twist Handles

✿ Sizes

• With yarn handle: 11.25” tall by 12” wide
• Without yarn handle: 10” tall by 12” wide
