Seesaw top is a crew neck close fitting top with slightly cropped length. It’s designed with a combination of Garter stitch on the yoke and Waves pattern on the bottom of the body. These waves remind of a seesaw play in childhood, so here is where the name for this top comes from. Seesaw top is great for in-city or vacay summer outfit. It perfectly pairs with skirts and shorts or linen pants.

Seesaw Top is a new design added to Seesaw patterns family, included Seesaw Sweater and Seesaw Cowl as well.

Seesaw top is worked top down and seamlessly.
You started work with the back yoke, shaped shoulder with increases in every row. Continued working in Garter stitch to the underarms, shaping armholes with increases, as you come to them. Once the back yoke is ready, back yoke stitches are placed on hold. Left and right front shoulders are picked up separately while the neckline is shaped with increases. As the neckline is ready, both fronts are joined together and continued working in Garter stitch to the underarms. After, back and front yokes are joined and worked in the round. Body is continued working in Wave pattern to the hem. Last touch – finish neckline and armholes with i-cord edges for a more polished look.
