This toy is designed in a Waldorf style, it is easy to knit using simple techniques and minimal materials. The sheep can also be easily made into a rattle.

The pattern is available for instant download in English. The finished sheep is 8cm in height and 11cm long.

Skills required:
Cast on, knit stitch, knit 2 stitches together, purl, purl two stitches together (p2tog) cast off, simple embroidery

Materials used:

• About 25g of 4ply cotton or wool in body colour (cream/white)
• 25g of Drops alpaca boucle wool or another fluffy style wool to match body colour (cream/white)
• 2.75mm knitting needles
• A small amount of black embroidery thread for eyes
• Darning needle for sewing the project together
• Wool or cotton stuffing
• Scissors
• Optional: rattle piece if making a baby rattle

The body of the sheep is knitted in one piece and the ears are knitted separately and sewn on at the end.
