Shroom-balls and Snow-balls is a collection of 7 ball ornaments that are design samplers for the 6 mitten patterns I made in 2021: Mitten Wonderland, Snow Globe Mitts, Shroomy Mittens & Mitts, Sweater Weather Mitts, Silent Night Mittens, and Home for the Holidays Mittens.

You can also see all of my mitten designs in this bundle.

Materials

  • These ball ornaments can be made from any fingering weight yarn and with needles ranging from US 0 (2mm) to US 2 (2.75mm). With fingering yarn you probably don’t want to go any larger in needle sizes as it is preferable to have a nice and dense fabric. However, thicker yarn and needles can also be used, just be advised that your ornament will turn out larger in this case.
  • Each individual ornament only uses about 50-55 yards of fingering yarn which makes this a great project for yarn left-overs.
  • Finally, for each ornament you will need a small amount of polyester fiberfill.

Happy Holidays!
