Slugs
A knitted slug in two sizes, the small using 20m, the large using 65m of chunky yarn. The examples are made in James C Brett Marble Chunky MC59 Iron Ore, which is a great grey/brown mix for slugs!
The slugs can also be made in other weights of yarn with appropriate needles to produce other sizes.
They are worked in the round with notes throughout suggesting a comfortable split for working with 4 dpns. The face is formed by working some of the stitches as a tube of i-cord, then continuing with the rest of the stitches.
Shaping is achieved with kfb, m1L, m1R, k2tog, skp, and cdd to allow for directional stitches to help neatly define the mantle and foot.
This pattern has some overlap with my Scale Mail Slugs, so they’re available in a bundle (past purchases count towards the discount)
The pattern and chart pages are photo-free and can be printed in black and white.
