Sugar Swirls is a fairly simple baby blanket pattern that looks like it has piped icing in two colors running across it (hence the name.)

Although the colors look like they’re added on at the end, they are knitted as you go as you would any stitch. Once you get the hang of the pattern, you won’t need notes.

This would look wonderful in many different color combinations and it is easy to make it your own.

It can also be made in DK or Worsted and requires a little less yarn and a size 6 or 7 needle. (750 yards of main color, plus 75 yards in each of two colors)

The final size is 28 X 30 inches.

Warning: you will crave cupcakes when you start to knit.
