The Timeless is worked from the top down, starting with back shaping using short rows and continuing until the underarms. At this point, the stitches are put on hold. Stitches for the fronts are then picked up along the shaped edge and worked to the underarms. From the underarms onwards, the front and back are joined together and worked as one piece. Once the body is complete, stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armhole openings and worked in the round to the cuffs. For the pullover, the neckband is then picked up and worked in 1x1 twisted ribbing. For the cardigan, both the button bands and neckband are picked up and worked in 1x1 twisted ribbing.
