Needles

• 3.25mm (US 3) straight or circular needles
• 2.75mm (US 2) straight or circular needles

Gauge

• 42 sts and 53 rows measure 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) over 2x2 rib using smaller needles, lightly blocked, unstretched
• 37 sts and 38 rows measure 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) over pattern, using larger needles, lightly blocked
• Swatch to determine the needle size that achieves the correct gauge

Construction

• The scarf is worked flat from the bottom up.

• The top and bottom of the piece feature 2x2 rib. The sides are also worked in 2x2 rib with the slipped-stitch selvedge.

• The body of the scarf is composed of two repeats of a cabled pattern. If you wish to adjust the width, make fewer or more repeats of the pattern. The scarf can be worked to any desired length.
