☾ A little coven for your mantel.

Three witch hats, three sizes, zero brooms required. They look adorable grouped together on a shelf, mantel or table, and they’re cozy enough to leave out all fall long, not just on Halloween.

Each hat is worked in one piece from the point down, so there’s no seaming. The Wheat Stitch™ gives the cone a braided texture and enough body to stand up on its own. Finish with a jute bow, a tuck of moss and a few mini mushrooms, and you’ve got the cutest display in the house.

✨ What makes it work

• One piece, no sewing. Start at the point and work down to the brim.
• Same start for every size. Work the first 12 rounds, then jump to your size to finish.
• A tidy edge. The brim ends with a round of clean single crochet.
• One ball makes all three. Small, Medium and Large.
• You’re not on your own. Video tutorial and written pattern included, plus ideas to decorate, display and store them.
