Winterlust begins with a provisional cast on and is knit from the bottom up. This design features turned hems with picot edges at the bottom and top. (I’ve also included alternate instructions for plain edges if picots aren’t your thing). The main patterning is worked in three colors using a simple slip stitch pattern.

This pattern is suitable for an adventurous beginner and a perfect introduction project to the world of slip stitch knitting. It includes fully written and charted instructions. You’ll find several helpful links to guide you through all of the techniques used in knitting this cowl as well as coloring worksheets to assist with planning.
