Crochet: Beanie, Toque
Faux Mistake Rib Touque was inspired by several other fun crochet hat patterns, and has been updated with techniques learned from slip stitch crochet designer, Lyudmila Hefny. This iteration of the hat was designed to complement “Northmoor Watchcaps”, a knitted hat designed by Luise O’Neill. “Faux Mistake” and “Northmoor” were chosen for the Au...

I have designed “Jiffy-Swirl” as an introduction to Lyuda’s marvelous methods, in hope of getting more crocheters (knitters too!) comfortable with...

Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This hat is worked top-down, in joined, turned rounds, and is reversible. You can crochet either a simple, straight fitted beanie, or a watch cap style hat with a turned up brim.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This hat is worked side to side and seamed, then the crown is closed with spiraling rounds of slip stitch decreases. An edge trim is added to the bottom of the beanie in joined, turned rounds. The body stitch pattern is worked in short rows, creating strips of lozenge shapes, separated by a divider with complementary textures.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This hat is crocheted top down, the crown and body worked in spiral fashion, and the ribbed hatband in turned, joined rounds. Constructions is very simple and straightforward, so it’s easy to adapt to any weight yarn or any size hat you wish to make.

This is a “choose your own adventure” hat pattern. I have specified a mosaic pattern to use for the body of the hat which can be worked in either positive or negative colorways, and have offered two options to choose between for both the crown and hatband.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
There are two different versions of this beanie available here. One is slouchy, the other is fitted. Notes are included on how to adjust sizing, and how to adapt to use other weights of yarn.

Crochet: Scarf
This scarf is a crochet companion to the official knitted scarf of the 2019 Greater Boston Yarn Crawl, named “Knitted Lacy Crescent Scarf”.
Crochet: Scarf
Extended Tunisian Knit Stitch is often called “Corded Stitch” as it looks like you’ve worked single crochets over a piece of cord. It’s one of the Tunisian stitches that does not curl, and is quite attractive on both the right and wrong side, so it is ideal for scarves.
Crochet: Animal Toy
There is no sewing involved in making this little bear, other than weaving in ends and embroidering its face.
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
Finished mitt is about 61⁄2” wide x 6” high. To adjust size, add or subtract stitches in foundation chain (width) and/or rows (height).
Crochet: Washcloth / Dishcloth
Worked in rows, using two Tunisian hooks. The hooks do not need to be the same size, but your gauge will be determined by the larger hook, and the smaller hook should be large enough to work comfortably with your chosen yarn.
Crochet: Washcloth / Dishcloth
Worked diagonally from corner to corner with worsted weight yarn, the pattern features the easy, beginner stitch pattern known as Moss Stitch, or Linen Stitch. There are two optional edge trims suggested.
Crochet: Earflap Hat
Pattern is inspired by the knitted 1898 Hat, and was designed for a charity workshop benefiting Seafarer’s Friend in Chelsea, MA.
Crochet: Cowl
This is a crochet version of the Greater Boston Yarn Crawl 2017 knitted cowl “Beacon Hill”. It is worked in joined rounds, making extensive use of front post stitches to create textures similar to those in the knitted cowl, without being a slavish copy.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
Worked from side to side using one skein of fingering weight yarn, the pattern features a short row section worked in V-stitch mesh, bordered by a column of post stitches before transitioning into a repeating leaf and shell pattern. This shawlette is a crocheted version of “Freedom Trail”, the knitted shawlette designed as a special promotion f...
