During the summer, I took my kids to a neighborhood park. In this park they have community garden beds, filled with Nasturtium plants. When I picked up a fallen Nasturtium leaf, the shape of the leaf inspired me. It reminded me of a half-circle shawl. The beautiful leaf veins coming from the center reminded me of brioche ribbing. From this leaf...

Wardwell is a lightweight sweater perfect for springtime, summer nights, or enjoyed indoors during the colder months. This sweater is light in feel over the body as it is worked in a sport weight yarn at a loose gauge. The eyelet details in the center front, back, and sleeves give extra breathing room for your skin. Wardwell sweater has less ea...

I was lucky to meet Lynne of West Coast Colour in person and fell in love with her yarn, especially Homegrown. It has an incredible softness and strength to it. It is so bouncy and feels great against the skin. I was so excited to cast on. The funny thing is, when I cast on, I had a completely different plan for it; I was seeing cables and frin...
Knitting: Cowl
I recently saw a wool sweater with a rolled collar and I wanted to explore this style a bit. Usually, we do not want the rolling that happens in stockinette, but I wanted to intentionally play with this effect in this design. This cowl plays with the rolling hem due to stockinette in the round pulling to the front (right side) of the cowl. The ...

Knitting: Cowl
Hyla Cowl is a winter accessory staple. I first dreamt up this cowl after I finished working my Hyla Sweater. The classic and easy to make cables really pop on the squishy garter background. This cowl would be a perfect gift to pass on to a loving friend to keep them warm in the cold. It also knits up very quickly!

This lovely ‘sweatshirt like’ sweater is the perfect over layer and companion for every hike, outside adventure or to cozy up at home.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl was born out of my need to self soothe. When life feels hard and complicated, I want to find comfort in a knit that is easy, mindless, and meditative: the opposite of hard.

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I have recently fallen in love with the simplicity and beauty of slipped stitches. I really enjoy the way slipped stitch ridges look on reverse stockinette background and thought this would look great in a hat.
Knitting: Scarf
Roe is the perfect fall/winter scarf. It is so squishy and warm yet light to wear. It drapes perfectly around the neck while hanging down the body to add extra warmth. Roe is worked point to point with DK yarns held double; this makes it work up very quickly. Have fun choosing 2 different color yarns to marl with!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Lightmoore is an elegant and functional shawl. It is both easy to knit and to wear. With ease of knitting in mind, I combined both garter stitches and dropped garter stitches to give a lace-like element in this shawl.
Knitting: Pullover
Hyla is a soft sweater with beautiful drape knit in a relaxed gauge. It has a boxy shape and is slightly cropped to pair perfectly with high-waist pants or skirts!
