This pattern can be worked with a single-coloured yarn or with contrasting cuffs, heels and toes: look out for the useful ‘Notes’ to indicate where you should change colour.

This blanket was inspired because of the many scraps of 4ply sock yarn I had and I kept thinking I would one day use them. Well I did, and I am super pleased with it.

This is a great pattern for beginners and it uses a simple garter stitch to create a lovely shawl. There is also the opportunity to learn a couple of new stitches and also have a great shawl to show off at the end.
