This wrap has been inspired by a Lucknow kurta I saw recently.. a lovely, white, simple, A-line cut dress.. the design got my head a-spinning or a-crocheting!

The “inspiration” for this was a “kolam” (pronounced kõlaṁ) which is a form of painting that is drawn by using rice powder/chalk/chalk powder/white rock powder. A young girl was copying her mum, and her efforts, I thought were ‘photograph-worthy’ :)

Earlier this month, I’d visited Raichak (West Bengal) for my husband’s (batch-mate) get together. Weather was perfect, walks were numerous. One one such walk, we saw this beautifully maintained garden with the most beautiful collection of flowers. The dahlias in particular were awesome.. I haven’t seen this range in a long time.
