Greetings! After more than a decade of designing for magazines and publishing books - seven to date! - I decided to take some time away from the ‘market’ to explore what has now become TICKER KNITS a stranded knitting technique which repeats the same word across a line - just like a ‘ticker tape’ and stacks the words as well. I am fascinated by both language & knitting and what better way to express one’s design ideas than in combining the two. The first Ticker Knits booklet, Oh Boy: Knit What You Mean is a collection of matching hats and cowls. The second Ticker Knits booklet, IMHO : In My Humble Opinion uses ACRONYMS which are ubiquitous in the verbal landscape today; and most recently AMEN - prayers, poems and phrases that have resonated over the years.
