I am one-half of The Knitty Professors. My knitting and blog partner is Jordynn Jack, canadianbacon on Ravelry. We are professors of Rhetoric in the Department of English at UNC Chapel Hill.

We enjoy Sunday brunch, Mah Jongg, and all types of crafting; encouraging eco-friendly fiber arts, through yarn recycling and rehabilitating knitted items; and saving our souls from the alienation of postindustrialization.

We believe knit designs should be intuitive; knitters shouldn't have to schlep patterns around in order to create something beautiful and wearable.
