Liz Abinante

Liz Abinante is the author of numerous popular patterns, including Traveling Woman and Saroyan, both of which remain in the top 20 knit patterns on Ravelry. She is best known for creating unique patterns for a wide range of skill levels that include options for easy customization and sizing. She has worked with independent dyers such as Little Red Bicycle and Miss Babs. Her work has been commissioned for numerous sock and shawl clubs, including Woolgirl and Yarn4Socks.

She loves to teach, read, write, and bake bread (and somehow manages to take obsessive notes for all three). Her favorite things to knit are shawls and scarves. In an attempt to save up for retirement, she works a full time job for a quirky company.

She knits (and lives) in Chicago and blogs at feministy.com. Her inspiration often comes from popular culture, local fashionistas, and her big knitting brain.
