Maaike Vondenhoff

I am a knitter and a translator. I have a passion for all languages. Working as a translator, I spend my time trying to unravel fiction as well as non-fiction in order to create an accurate Dutch translation. While knitting, I like to contemplate the similarities between the way we construct a knitted garment, and the way we knit the sounds of our language together to make a coherent utterance.

I currently reside in Amsterdam, but my work permits me to work while travelling the globe.
