At the beginning of my seven months travel through the Americas, I spent a few weeks on the west coast of the United States. A lot of that time was spent in Seattle where it was only the beginning of autumn and a good deal of that time I was still sleeveless. Therefore, during these walks I felt the need for something warm to cover my bare arms. These arm warmers were just what one needs when wandering around in a chilly autumn Seattle. Snug and soft, they will keep your wrist from getting cold when chilly drafts make goose bumps appear on exposed arms.

This pattern requires some skill: knitting in the round (dpns or any other method), making mini-cables and stranded knitting. It takes a little time to get used to turning cables with two different colours, but after fiddling around a bit, it is pretty straightforward.
