A few years ago, I began working at an LYS, The Studio Knitting and Needlepoint, in Kansas City. Spending time there, helping our customers through pattern challenges and yarn purchases, I have learned many things about great pattern construction, interesting design elements, and matching the perfect yarn to a pattern.
A couple of years ago, I decided to take the knowledge I have gained and to try my hand at designing. At this point, two patterns have made it to publication, and probably twenty more are working their way through the process, somewhere between idea, and test knitting.
In addition to getting my feet wet as a pattern designer, I stay busy with a husband and son, running our own business (which has nothing to do with knitting), and working to feed my yarn addiction at the yarn shop.
If you see something in my store you like, please give it a try, and check back for updates, because there are several designs close to completion.
