All and Sundry is an asymmetrical sampler shawl. Many of the knitting techniques and stitch patterns that I enjoy are incorporated here. The pattern is an expansion of my Hypotenuse Shawl and includes many of the same stitch patterns.

Yarn: 2 skeins (total 500 yards) of Carodan Farm Chincoteague Colors. Seaside Collection.

Fiber Composition: 50% alpaca, 30%, merino wool, 20% silk yarn. 250 yards per skein. Color of sample: Tempest.

Gauge is not essential for this project. However, the scarf needs a fiber and gauge combination that creates a fabric that is soft and will drape comfortably around the neck and shoulders.

If using 100% worsted wool rather than the blend suggested the pattern shows more clearly and the fabric drapes more comfortably when using size 7 needles for the cast-on and size 8 for the body of scarf. This may also change the yardage required.

Dimension: Neck Edge 74”; Cast-on Edge 34”; Depth 16”; Side Edge 50”
