This tailored cardigan is constructed in pieces from the bottom up with set-in sleeves. The collar is picked up from the seamed piece and worked flat; the edges are trimmed with applied i-cord and finished with hook-and-eye tape (typically available in fabric shops).

Swans Island Organic Merino is a sturdy, soft wool with beautiful tonal color. Be sure to alternate hanks while knitting to achieve an even appearance. The beautiful memory and twist of the wool ensure the jacket will retain its shape over many wearings; if you are substituting yarn, be sure to select a springy, non-draping fiber.

You will need approximately 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6) hanks of the Swans Island Worsted.
