I inherited this pattern from my aunt, who died in 1990 at the age of 103. The pattern was written out, probably in the 1940’s, but could be earlier.

I tried it out, but did not have a bell to attach inside. I do remember ones she’d made with the bells.

The bells can be used as ornaments or attached to packages.

The sample I made used 1oz or 3g of DK weight yarn, and I used #2 needles.
