This is a unisex baby hat inspired by my cousin and her first baby. The nautical cable motif is an homage to our grandfather, who served in the US Navy and always loved being on the water. It is written for a single skein of DK-weight yarn, but could easily be adjusted for different sizes or gauges by adding to or decreasing the amount of stockinette outside the cable motif and increasing the length of the ribbing.
