This textured beanie riffs on the royal crowns of Europe by playing with ribbing, garter stitch, twists, cables and bobbles. Knitted bottom-up and in-the-round from the brim edge to the top. It begins with an easy 1x1 ribbed brim, followed by rows of garter stitch and a twisted honeycomb pattern, ending with more complex cables for the crown. All decreases are incorporated into the cabled crown pattern and all cable patterns include both written and charted instructions. Because of the nature of the cabled crown shaping, it is very important to match row gauge for this pattern.
