This pattern is available for free.

This pattern makes a beaded bow for a brooch or a hair bow, for instance, but the bow could be put on other projects as well.

It is only in one size, but could easily be adapted, and gauge is not important for the project.

You will at most use a third of a typical skein to make the little bow.

Materials needed:

  • 40 meters of yarn that measures about 110 to 120 yrds pr. 50 g. (Light sport weight or heavy sock weight yarn.)

  • 3 mm knitting needles (use your
    favorite, for instance circular or
double pointed), use about a half
sizes smaller than recommended for the yarn

  • 144 seed beads, size 6/0 or 4 mm

  • beading needle or small crochet hook (depending on your beading method)

  • darning needle

  • for a hair bow: a hair barette back,
and for a brooch bow: a brooch pin
back (both are availiable at most
    hobby stores)
