This is a pattern for a coffee cup cozy with a cross band to give the appearance of a bow tie, and an optional pocket. The pattern gives several options for the different parts of the cozy and they can be combined as desired.

There is only one size in the pattern, but it could easily be adapted for larger mugs, cups or other things you want a cozy for.

Gauge is not important for this project.

Materials needed:

• About 40 to 60 meters of a DK or Sport weight yarn. (I used about a third of a skein.)
• A small amount of yarn in a contrasting color, if desired.
• 3 mm needles
• Darning needle
