This top is so comfy and so flattering on a variety of shapes and sizes. It’s also very simple to make!

I originally designed this to use up a collection of black sport weight scraps I had acquired over the years, but when my mom and sister-in-law each requested their own, I decided it was time to publish the pattern!

The construction is super simple. The body is knit in the round from the bottom up to the arm holes. The top is knit flat with a larger needle for a lacy see-through appearance that is easy and quick. Finishing as written requires familiarity with the three-needle bind-off method.

This approach allows for attaching the front and the back as simply as possible, while minimizing the number of ends to weave in on the very loose knit.
