The second I saw it, I fell in love with Jared Flood’s Wayfarer scarf pattern. After making several, I decided the pattern was subtle enough that a slouchy beanie to match was actually just what I needed.

The hat begins with a provisional cast-on, is knit flat with short row shaping, then seamed using a slightly adapted kitchener stitch. If you’re familiar with these techniques, this pattern is interesting enough to be quite fun. If these techniques are new to you, this pattern might be a bit challenging, but well worth it!
