Bride and Groom
BRIDE AND GROOM TOY KNITTING PATTERNS
This little bride and groom could be used as wedding cake toppers (not edible, of course, but they can be kept as keepsakes of the special day).
THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the bride and groom, 15 photos, a list of abbreviations and explanation of some techniques, a materials list and recommended yarns. The pattern is 5 pages and written in English.
TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat on straight knitting needles. You will need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, change colours at the ends of a row (knit stripes) and sew seams. The bride pattern uses a three needle join to attach the skirt to the body, and instructions are included in the pattern. The hair is embroidered onto each doll after finishing.
YARN, NEEDLES AND NOTIONS INCLUDE:
- Three straight 3.75mm knitting needles (US 5)
- DK yarn (double knitting or light worsted weight); less than 50g in each colour
- Toy filling
- I have also used small flower buttons for decoration of my dolls.
