Many of the most iconic depictions of the human form feature a daring contrapposto, the confident and natural ‘counterpose’ setting the shoulders and hips at different angles. Defiant, strong, sexy--the contrapposto has always carried the weight in its own way and looked good doing it.

SIZE
One size fits most feet 7-11”/18-28 cm in circumference; knit cuff and foot length to fit.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Circumference: 7”/18 cm measured unstretched after blocking. Changing the circumference is most easily accomplished by changing gauge (e.g. using a sport weight yarn).

SKILL LEVEL
Advanced beginner: knitting in the round, grafting with Kitchener stitch

CONSTRUCTION
These socks are knit from the cuff down with a heel flap and gusset.

NEEDLES
US #1/2.25 mm (or size to get gauge) for knitting a small item in the round (either double points, two circulars, or one long circular for magic loop)

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, stitch markers
