Coon Creek Fingerless Gloves/Mitts feature an elegant curved cuff on the fingerward edge. The top side is textured with a easy-to-knit lace-style pattern of yarn overs and stitches knitted together. The bottom side is a sleek stockinette stitch, offering a clean contrast to the detailing on the top side.

The pattern was quick to knit, and I was able to complete a single mitt during my baby’s nap time.

In developing this pattern, I used both Swans Island worsted weight (140 yards) and Mirasol Nuna sport weight (90 yards). Both worked well on size 5 needles (or adjust needle size for gauge). The pattern will work well with most any worsted or sport weight yarn.

The first 13 rows are knit on straight needles before transferring to double pointed needles to knit in the round. To finish, a small section of mattress stitching is needed to seam 3/4 inch, leaving an opening for a thumb.
