From the stars, the dreams of many generations have been passed along over thousands of years/Even the rain of fire can be soothing, just searching for warmth/Break new ground/Space Explorer/Break new ground/Seek new fields

Cosmic Explorer is a lightweight, lacy cowl that’s great for transitional weather. Knit it in a sparkly yarn to add a little glam to your outfit, or let a softly variegated yarn pop in the 2 lace patterns. Whatever you choose, enjoy this deceptively simple knit and throw on your new cowl whenever you need to make an adventure!

Sizes: S and L (170 sts and 204 sts)

Gauge is not crucial for this project as you can stop at any time, but the larger size was intended to make the most of 1 skein of Estrellita (400 yds), so if your gauge varies or you want a larger cowl, you may need more yarn.

Materials: 1 US size 5 (3.75mm) 24: circular needle, tapestry needle for weaving in ends, stitch marker.

1 skein of Estrellita will make either size cowl, though gauge will be inportant when knitting the larger size (see gauge notes). 1 skein of the Pearlescent Fingering will leave plenty leftover if you decide to adjust the length of the cowl. Pattern includes notes regarding size adjustments. This pattern will work with solids, tonals, speckled, or softly variegated yarns. Some of the stitch pattern may be lost with heavily variegated yarns, but you’re free to use whatever yarn your heart chooses!
