Cutter was created specifically to answer a wardrobe need: A sweater that would go everywhere, do everything, work with everything in your wardrobe, and still look great after 10 years of wear. Cutter fits the bill, and each pattern for this sweater will be created to your unique choice of gauge and size.

Cutter is part of the Summer/Fall 2015 CustomFit Basics collection: twice-yearly collections of the classics of our time. Those fundamental, wear-every-day sweaters we can’t wait to throw on. Ready for you to interpret – in your own materials, for your own wardrobe.

A super long-wearing wool was key, and Ross Farm Fibers’ Letitia was a superb choice. It’s hard-wearing, has a wonderful sheen, and there’s just something amazing about knowing your sheep.

Jackie is wearing Cutter in an average fit, but it looks great in a relaxed fit too.

(One quick note on yardage - the yardage requirements listed are based on my preferred gauge for the recommended yarn. And while I’ve given approximate quantities for standard size sweaters, CustomFit will make your pattern in the size and gauge of your choice. And it’s pretty tough to give yardage requirements for any possible combination! If you’re not using the recommended yarn, and/or you’re not a standard size, I recommend Hannah Fettig’s amazing app, stashbot, to get a sense of your yardage requirements.)
