Specifically designed to show off the fabulous new speckled gradient sets from Sunshine Yarns. Gray sample shown was knit in 750 yards of Sunshine Yarns Classic Sock in the Pen & Ink speckled gradient and measures 100” across and 16” deep. Starting at the top, you knit through each colorway, changing colors whenever you run out. It’s an easy, nearly mindless knit to take along on your summer travels!

Although it was written for a speckled gradient, any sort of yarn will work - a regular gradient, a single speckled colorway, multiple speckled colorways, one or more solids, leftovers, or even that variegated yarn that you don’t know what to do with. Yardage is very flexible. I used just 360 yards for this little prototype and it has a wingspan of 64” and is 10” deep and is a very wearable small accessory. In a heavier weight yarn, 360 yards would make a nice-sized shawl.
