‘Dhari’ is Hindi for ‘Stripe’ and is named after my orignal idea for this
design which was published in YarnForward Magazine (UK). The pattern was written to be knit bottom-up.
Stripey was born out of necessity more than anything else. My son was growing out of his clothes too fast and it was pretty cold. So I took out two shades of yarn from my stash and whipped up this in a day. I wrote in enough ease and knit extra length, so that he could use the sweater for a couple of more seasons.

Some design features include:

  • Ever popular stripes pattern. Instructions are given for two colour stripes, however, can be easily worked in one or more than two colours as desired
  • Two versions of button band along right raglan slope. One unisex version and a second crocheted lace version
  • Short row neck to give better fit
  • Comfortable pockets that can act as muffs for little hands

Pre tech-edited pattern available at present. The final version will be sent to all buyers soon.
