Use these doughnuts as play food, pet toys, pincushions, or just as sweet decorations. This is also a fun project to use up ends of a yarn ball to avoid waste.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the doughnuts are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Paintbox Yarns Simply DK or Stylecraft Special DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in each colour.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and a crochet hook for the chocolate swirl.

SIZES
One size only - The finished doughnut is 12cm diameter x 4.5cm high.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
