Important note: If you haven’t already purchased Morse Stitch Decoded you will need to do so in order to knit this shawl. Morse Stitch Decoded comes with thee complementary patterns. Two are for cowls - Spy Ring and The Circus - the ohter is for this baby blanket. The net proceeds from the sales of Decoded will be donated to the charity Freedom From Torture.

Double Agent is a classic triangular-shaped shawl that comprises bands of morse stitch* separated by bands of garter stitch – a symmetrical shawl that, although not identical on both sides, works on both sides … a real double agent!

The red shawl shown was made using sport weight yarn and the green in fingering weight (4ply) but the pattern would suit DK or even light worsted yarns too if you want a warmer/ bigger shawl - just remember to adjust yardage accordingly.

  • Morse stitch is a textured stitch that forms a neat bobble on one side and a double dash on the other.
