Soft and thick and extra warm, the Maddi Cloche has a lot of feminine and romantic appeal. The double layer twist surrounds the brim and creates a cascade of scallops which demurely frame the face. The simplicity of Stockinette stitching and a spiraling flower add to the allure of the Maddi. So take yourself back to Victorian times and knit this very flattering cloche.

Design your Maddi as you like. Choose to knit in one color or two. Decorate with the crocheted flower (instructions included) or with a favorite bow, button, or brooch.

The Maddi shown in the pic is knitted with #5 bulky wool roving. An alternative to using #5 is to use two strands of #4 worsted weight held together. Just double the amount of yarn needed.
