My Mikhailova Hat was inspired by a desire for a slouch hat that would appeal to many people. I wanted this design to have a sophisticated look coupled with the casual lines of the popular slouch hat style. Mikhailova is knitted in the round and incorporates a mock cable stitch accompanied by a simple textured pattern.

Worsted weight yarn, a U.S. Size 9 16-inch cable (or dpns), and 2 stitch markers are all you need to knit this hat. You do not need a cable needle. A mock cable stitch is used in this pattern and you will use the bind technique which is fully explained and very easy to knit.

Mikhailova is a fun and easy-to-knit fashion accessory.
