This is a very simple bottom-up shawl that begins with a unique lace and cable stitch pattern, then followed by reverse stockinette rows and fun dropped stitches rows. It is airy and light weight, definitely a good project to be made in summer.

I name it Elix simply because the special cable twisting stitch at the bottom looks so much like a DNA double helix and I picked the last 4 characters of the word Helix - Elix.

Also, the color combination I picked reminds me so much of the Egypt Cleopatra costume. Such rich mystery colors!

I picked two different semi-solid colorway for this shawl and I believe a colorful variegated yarn will be a good choice in this pattern too.
