What am I missing?
Thorn
When I first showed my brother this shawl, he wanted me to name it “Bed of Roses” and I found out that there are plenty knitting projects already taken the name. Therefore, I picked the word, Thorn for this design, as thorn is a very special characteristic of roses too.
This is a very addictive knit, especially the second part of the pattern. I personally love the conjoint session of the two parts very much. It proves once again how much I really love textural lace shawl design.
I made a small and medium size of Thorn using two different type of fingering weight yarns. Co-incidentally, this is the first time I used these yarns and I love them! I managed to make a small size using a skein of 400yard of Baah! La Jolla and apparently I knit very tightly compared to most other knitters.
The size of this shawl can be easily adjusted to much larger as you wish.
