Melosa is the first sideways crescent-shaped shawl that I designed. I actually made this in both sock fingering weight yarn as well as in DK weight yarn.

Melosa means sweet and gentle in Spanish. It comes in three sizes, and it is a very fast, fun, and satisfying knit. I like the seed stitch texture and also the beautiful leaf pattern at the border. Seed stitch never fails me!

It is a very easy yardage estimate knit. If you’re not sure you’ll have enough yarn as it’s knit sideways, just make sure you’ve not used more than half your yarn when you are at the halfway point.

Level: EASY

This shawl has been test knitted by several awesome test knitters.
