Knit a trio of Emergency Vehicles for playtime fun: a fire engine, ambulance and police car.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, each vehicle is knitted in garter stitch in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). For advanced beginner and intermediate knitters, the body of each vehicle is knitted using short row shaping in garter stitch. The wheels knitted separately and sewn on after making up, and the window struts are embroidered in chain stitch. The light bars and ladders on top of the vehicles are i-cord tubes worked on two DPNs.

A pair each of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles and DPNs (US 4).
