These top down fingerless mittens have a rustic, yet elegant look. The prominent structured feather element is flanked by two lines of increasing cables, evoking the shape of fern leaves.

The pattern comes in one size with two different lengths.
The size for this pattern is unisex size M.
The fit is wide around the palms and fitted around the wrists.
A short section with tips for size adjustments is included.

The pattern has both written and charted instructions.
In combination with the Abbreviations page, each set of instructions can be used on its own.

Techniques:
Knit, purl, knit through back loop, knit 2 together, slip slip knit, center double decrease, make one right, make one left, purl front and back, cables.

Needles and notions:
You will need one set of 4mm (US 6) knitting needles and one set of 4,5mm (US 7) knitting needles.
Either short double pointed needles, or long cable needles for magic loop technique are fine.
You will also need some scrap yarn and a darning needle, to weave in the ends.
