This pattern was inspired by a cloth bag that I made. I thought I’d make a felted version too.

Pockets are created where the sides overlap. Some inside pockets, some outside. I’ve made the pockets different sizes on each side of the bag.

Its very roomy and the original can easily take an A4 file or small laptop as well as wallet, keys, snacks etc.

The handle is wide and due to the springy nature of felted bags, it works like its got suspension when you walk, so it doesn’t put strain on your shoulder even if you pack it heavy.

The pattern is written with lots of photos to show the making up process.

YARN; PLEASE NOTE: the link to the type of yarn used will state that Sheepfold Coloured Yarns are DK (8ply). Some of them are. But the colours used for this bag are Aran (10 ply) and sold as 10ply on the Sheepfold Website.
