This toasty hat and mitt set evokes the flames of a winter fire with an oversized cable motif flickering up each piece. Two options are provided for the hat: a loose tam or a more fitted hat. Chunky weight yarn ensures that these accessories will be especially warm, acting as a small portable substitute for the warm blaze awaiting you at home.

Skills required beyond knit and purl include increasing, decreasing, cables (instructions are charted).

Cap: Adult medium, finished circumference measures 20” (51 cm)
Tam: Adult medium/large, finished circumference measures 27”(68.5 cm) at widest point, ~20” (51 cm) at brim

Gauge: 14 sts x 20 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch on US 10.5 (6 mm) needles,
