My daughter asked me to come up with a shawl that she could wrap around her shoulders when she was playing dress-up, but would also be warm when she wanted to wrap up on the couch and watch TV. It had to be pretty, warm, and zig-zaggy. She wanted something “fit for a princess” and even sketched it out for me.

This is the result of her sketches, minus the snowflakes and some other unrecognizable blobs of crayon. While I was at it, I made one in a short version for me to throw around my shoulders in the movie theater. I have included a small size and a larger size in the written directions that can be easily adjusted up or down depending on the size needed. If you change out the yarn weight and hook size for lace weight and a G hook, it would look very similar to the popular Hypernova shawl that is knit.

Thanks to LinMarie, Scrabbler7 and Debspugs for testing for me!
